The pretty, romantic town is located in the hills of the Valtenesi about 2km above the Lake. San Felice is covered in small lanes, green areas and gardens. At the bottom of the impressive, overgrown ruins of the 14th century castle there are idyllic spots for picnics. Close to the town the Carmelite pilgrimage church, Madonna del Carmine with its beautiful frescos, can be admired. Between the ports of Porto San Felice and Porto Portese, the promontory San Fermo reaches out into the Lake. The wooded Isola del Garda, the biggest island in the Lake, lies off San Fermo. You can find a magnificent palace in private ownership, but possible to visit as the island's attraction.
