Since 2001 Sportcamp Stickl has been the first kite surf school on Lake Garda recognised by VDWS (=association of German windsurf- and watersportschools).
The kite school is the result of more than 25 years of involvement and experience in surfing, sailing and cat sailing. The school is based on this long experience and routine and profits from the existing infrastructure.
Year after year our methods of instruction and training are constantly being improved and brought up to date to meet the requirements and needs of our customers on the highest possible level. Thus, for years we have been using water-proof radio technology – just as we do in catamaran sailing – for the direct contact between trainer and learner. A further innovative improvement is the simulation of the water start with the help of starting exercises without the kite at the racks of the kite boat. Sportcamp Stickl were the first to instruct and train on the boat and have thus changed a seeming disadvantage of Lake Garda – namely, to have to make do without a proper beach - into an advantage: compact, effective instruction and training directly on the water with hardly any waste of time as there are no longer long hours of flying exercises on land.
