Lage
Grand Hotel Fasano and Villa Principe are situated directly on the lake shore of western Lake Garda within the grounds of a beautiful 12,000m2 park of Mediterranean vegetation. Both hotels are located in what is possibly the most elegant town on Lake Garda, Gardone Riviera.
Service
Even today Grand Hotel Fasano and Villa Principe have the elegant atmosphere of the successful years towards the end of the 19th century. Both buildings were originally built as hunting lodges for the Austrian Imperial family at the turn of the century. While enjoying the breakfast buffet on the terrace one can breathe in the elegant atmosphere of days bygone; an atmosphere which is also present in the public rooms of the house and in the grounds of the estate. This past is successfully combined with the modern comforts of today. In the park there is a swimming pool with comfortable deck-chairs and a clay tennis court. The hotel organizes water sports as well as golfing events for its guests.
Grand Hotel Fasano
The spacious main house consists of elegant public rooms and rooms and suites, with high-quality furnishings. Some of the rooms have a balcony or terrace with lake view. All rooms have a private bathroom with shower or tub, Satellite TV, safe, mini bar and air-conditioning. The suites have separate living room and bedroom, and in the De Luxe-suites there is also internet-access and flat-screen television.
Villa Principe
Villa Principe is the smaller, beautiful annexe in the hotel’s park. The building is surrounded by majestic palm trees and banana plants, which create an almost tropical atmosphere. All rooms offer the same facilities as those in Grand Hotel Fasano. Even here one can fully experience the noble atmosphere of days long gone by.
Restaurants
The culinary arrangements for guests of both houses are excellent. At lunchtime restaurant-bar „La Terrazza“ welcomes the guests on the lakeside terrace with light lunches such as home-made pasta, salads, as well as grilled fish or meat. In the evenings chef Matteo Felter is in charge. With his modern and imaginative interpretations of local dishes he has already made a name for himself in several restaurants by the lake. Some of the meals have specifically been designed for guests of the wellness spa ‘AQUA SPA’. In the summer meals are enjoyed on the lakeside terrace.
And last but not least there is also the Shore-Club restaurant „La Darsena“. In 2009 the offer of cocktails, pizza and other dishes will be completed by a newly designed sushi-bar; with a Japanese chef keeping a watchful eye.
Wellness-Angebot
The 1,000 m2 wellness-centre ‘AQUA SPA’, which is part of the hotel, is inspired by the pleasant atmosphere of an ancient Roman thermal spa. An indoor-pool, several Jacuzzis, both indoors and outdoors, sauna and steam bath, a kneipp-circuit, aroma-therapy-showers and relaxation areas guarantee complete relaxation. There is also a gym and solarium as well as a beauty-centre, which is an ‘Aveda’ destination spa offering massages, treatments supporting drainage and aiding the elimination of toxins as well as wellness-programmes.
Business-Angebot
The 5 meeting rooms of the hotel are regularly used for a variety of business-events. The different sized rooms allow for the organization of meetings, presentations and exhibitions; which are made use of by international high-class companies on a regular basis.
Umgebung
Gardone del Garda offers walks through old lanes lined by beautiful villas and magnificent hikes in the surrounding mountains. Due to its classy past Gardone boasts the ‘Vittoriale degli Italiani’. The splendid former home of Gabriele D’Annunzio, the daring poet and national hero from the last century, is today the location for cultural events, such as concerts and exhibitions. By car several golf courses can easily be reached, there is also the possibility for trips out in the vicinity of the hotel. A visit to the opera in the Arena of Verona is certainly one of the highlights offered by this region.
